“Ukraine is a Done Deal. It’s Flattened and They Lost” – Steve Harrigan from FOX News Upon Return from Ukraine

Fox News reporter Steve Harrigan returned from Ukraine with a grim message about the future of Ukraine, but also a prediction that the Russian people “are going to rise up” and overthrow Russian President Vladimir Putin.

“I think Putin is being bled. And he will be bled for years and it will take years. Maybe the oligarchs who are making as much money will hurt. Maybe the Russian people will rise up,” said Harrigan on America’s Newsroom on Monday. “I think for me, Ukraine is a done deal. It’s flattened and they lost. But the next story, I think, is Russia. The Russian people are going to rise up and throw this guy out.”

That's a fitting comparison.

Russia is a dying nation.

No matter what the outcome in Ukraine is, they are on borrowed time as a nation.

China knows this and so does the EU.

What country in the EU isn’t dying? What about the US? Exclude minorities from the population and it is worse compared to Russia.

The EU can still tread water and will continue to do so for the next decade.

Russia has a very bleak outlook.

Nonsense.....

Russia owns Europe because of it’s oil. This war playing out in front of the world is because the bear is oil rich and it’s military, powerful.

A couple of Trenton- and Princeton-like victories and, who knows, maybe we’re talking about a positive trend...

I think you have it backwards. Russia has been encouraging its people to have more children, while we import foreign 3rd world replacements. Russia has been rebuilding churches while we tear ours down. Russia has opposed the West’s globohomo agenda while we have trannies in cabinet positions and men competing against women in sports and transitioning 3 year olds.

Which nation is dying did you say?

There are many folks in the Kremlin who would be happy to see Putin go away—but unfortunately for the cheerleaders around here, those folks are far nastier than Putin.

Be careful what you wish for....

This is kind of a proxy war between the godless globalists and a authortarian “moral” nationalists.

Very much paralles WWII...

The Nazis claimed moral superiority over liberal “filth”..Nazis didnt like “cosmopolitan west”, they were seen as a type of jew controlled “globalists” and preached against the moral depravity they claimed these people brought to Germany. Needless to say they had their own version of depravity that made them a worse alternative than the “globalists” of the day, so the enemy of my enemy became my friend——The communists aligned with the west against Germany.

Nowadays, the cosmopolitan west is being opposed by the “moral” Russians. Natually libs are with the Cosmpolitans/Globalists, and some on the right here would rather side with the Russians...The enemy of their enemy is their friend -Russia...

The differences are that I haven’t seen any ideology out of Russia, such as superior breed, or hatred of certain groups of people, or crap like that. All I see is a country invaded multiple times that prefers to not have hostile countries on its border.

Also keep in mind that Putin already has had 20 years to become the next Stalin/Hitler - so where are the gulags/death camps? The only gulag I’m seeing now is DC Central Jail.

Sometimes history is NOT a perfect match to the present.

So an ocean's worth of of separation with 18th century technology is equivalent to border states with unequal power and arms.

You flunk badly. And the shame of it, your ignorance of the history of the Ukraine and the geo-political pressure it has always faced is what drives the world to think of us as “the ugly Americans”.

To contrast the Ukraine with any aspect of the American Revolution is absurd in the extreme. You have no idea what I am talking about, do you?

Sad.

Your take is not based on numbers. Russian population is largely stable whereas some Euro countries lost 40% population over 30 years, the rest are below replacement if aren’t factoring immigration in.

Harrigan probably won’t last long. He’s supposed to be chanting the MSM party line that Ukraine is beating the incompetent Russian military. Telling the truth isn’t going to help his career.

That Czech, Poland and Slovenia delegation heading for Kiev are probably going to tell Depending to get his head screwed on straight and cut a deal with Russia.

You would be correct. 70% of the Russian population are backing Putin.

Sure, thats whay I mean when I said the nazis had their own depravity....racial,superiror race, etc...but the one thing they have in common with Putin is a disdain for depraved social liberalism, which puts him in conflict with the the depraved social liberalism of the globalists. Thats why the libs hate putin, and some conservative anti-globalists support him. Each side has chosen what they perceive as the lesser of two evils.

Yeah. A "flattened" city is even easier to defend as the wrecked buildings block streets and provide more cover. The Ukrainians are also fighting in a very smart way, allowing Russian columns to advance and disperse in cities where they get whacked.

Almost 3 million Ukrainians have fled to Europe since the war started, most of them from the worst affected areas, which also reduces the burden on the Ukrainian government.

Again ... you are not on point. I was specifically responding to the post by Enterprise which said:

“Has happened many times throughout history. PEOPLE ACHIEVE SOMETHING BECAUSE THEY DIDN’T KNOW IT WAS IMPOSSIBLE.”

I was not referring to the specific Russia-Ukraine situation which, obviously, you’re obsessed with. Take off your blinders; multi task. I was referring to the “... They didn’t know it was impossible” statement.

Re Russia-Ukraine, both governments are horrible IMO (as is ours). The people in Russia are victims of the commie Russian government. The people in Ukraine are victims of the government that pretty much exists as a money-laundering venue for USA’s deep state, and an accessory building for other enterprises which legally can’t be done in American soil. America’s people are victims of All Things Biden and his evil handlers.

The world is a frickin mess. What’s going to rescue all of us, besides God, might be people who take on a task that is “impossible”.
