How much have gas prices risen where you live?
Vanity | March 10th, 2022 | self

I last bought gas two weeks ago... it cost me $4.11. I'm like the little church lady who drives her car on Sunday to church so I'm fortunate that way. Walking past my local gas station yesterday, the price had risen to $5.29, an increase of $1.18.

Kind of convenient for people who want to destroy the oil and gas industry?
I'm in Northern California near Marysville.

I filled the tank yesterday in Knoxville Tennessee. Was about to pay $4.19/gallon when I spotted a station a half block away that was at $3.99.

DON’T FORGET

THE GAS YOU ARE USING TODAY WAS PROCESSED LONG AGO. (before the price of oil went up)

Several weeks ago I looked up the Gas ETF. I figured what I was paying for gas every week and bought enough of the ETF to cover the price for a year. Now, I take out enough to cover my normal gas expenditure every week. Even with the potential capital gains I am staying fairly even.

I did the same with Natural Gas which I use for heat. I am on a “budget” plan where they divide my annual cost by 12 and bill me the same amount every month. It went up $50 in January. It will probably double at this time next year. When it does, I am mostly covered.

The big companies hedge...why shouldn’t you?

I have a diesel vehicle and it usually costs a bit more than gasoline.

At the time of Brandon Junta’s Coup Jan, 2021, I paid $2.18 per gallon.

Last Saturday, I paid $4.50 per gallon.

In Houston. TX.

Since Trump left office it was about $2.39/gal and it’s now about $4.49/gal in upstate NY (but I haven’t looked today).

Invest in

I have resisted doing this because they are hard to remove for a proprietor, in a way vandalism. But I am going to tear just a corner off so they can be removed and/or reused by others.

Folks, every small thing is of value in our battle.

Here in southern Indiana, If you go back to pre election day, November 2019, the gas was $1.78/gal. Yesterday is was $4.25/gal. That is a 238% increase in about 17 months.

You need to start your comparison the day of the 2019 national elections. That’s when the oil companies started making their changes, knowing that Biden had stolen the election. Actually, I don’t blame Biden for the steal, I blame the 8 states that committed the fraud and theft.

Why do I get the feeling that soon we are going to be nostalgic for the days when gas cost $4.11?
