I’ve never seen gas like this in my life. And it’s impacting everything including just starting to recover from Covid touring industry. Who’s going to pay for increased fuel for tour travel? Who’s going to have money to buy tix w/ $10 gas..?! Ridiculous! https://t.co/9wjH2lMta9— Eddie Trunk (@EddieTrunk) March 6, 2022

By November? I’m upset now, and gas is $4.49 a gallon(for now) where I live.

Unless we can clone a s!*t ton of “Florida Rons, and Orange Men” between now, and November, I have every confidence that the pubbies we’re dealing with are perfectly capable of snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.

The average price of gas was $1.31 in 1981.

That would be the same as $4.02 in current dollars.

In ‘79 there was sort of a Y2K crisis when the gas stations had to add the dollar digit to their gas pumps. Most had not planned ahead to when the price of gas went over a dollar. Are we ready for $10 / gallon gas?

A very knowledgeable resource for all things hard rock, and heavy metal music. He’s been around for years, but if you aren’t into that sort of music, it’s understandable that you aren’t familiar with him.

Why should anyone even care?

Maybe one can take out a gas loan to go with the 7 year auto loan and the 40 year home mortgage loan.

You’ll definitely own nothing, but I don’t think you’ll be happy.

C’mon man. It was kind of sarcastic because only a Democrat would phrase the question that way.

Higher gas prices, higher good prices and war.

Good thing President Trump is out of office.

Weakness in the USA breeds global instability.

COVID didn’t get the job done, so they’re going to destroy our wallets and the supply chain. The end game here is a complete collapse of the economy to “build back better.”

Thank you for posting this. I know Eddie is a family man, and not financially hurting, but it’s very nice to see common sense, and concern coming from the coastal lefties every once in a while. It’s a slight bit o’ hope that perhaps they’ll come around one of these days before it’s too late.

We've come a long way. I remember when I bought gasoline for 25¢ per gallon. But we ran completely ran out of that stuff in 1973. Lucky for us there was plenty of the 75¢ per gallon variety. Our grades of gasoline keep getting better and better.

Gas stations in my area are raising prices at least twice per day. On Friday, gas was $3.19. As of Sunday evening it is now $3.69 per gallon and I don’t see a backstop.

$5.75 cheap stuff, Humboldt county today. Super V is $6.15.

Thanks for posting this terrible reality.

Where and when do you think, the $10/gal price will happen in California?
