This week French President Emmanuel Macron released a letter making official his bid for a second term as President of France.
The first round of the election April 10th with the second round between the top two finishers on April 24th.
Going into his announcement Macron was speaking with Russian President Vladimir Putin in the role of "mediator".
German Chancellor Olaf Scholz played that role in a conversation yesterday.
Polling data in France since the Ukraine story took over the news cycle showing new strength for Marine Le Pen she is now in a solid second place for the first round and polling for the second puts her in the neighborhood of 45 percent.
And mainstream media this weekend touting new polling showing Macron at 30.5 percent in the first round with Marine Le Pen at 14.5 with the second round vote breaking for Macron 59-41.
This week the Yellow Vests are again on the streets of France this is the gathering in Paris before the actual protest begins you can see those who got there early.

Protests in France of the Yellow Vests focused not just on economic issues in France but on the COVID restrictions including the vaccine passport which surprisingly will be suspended just in time for France's presidential election campaign.
The suspension set to take effect on March 14th.

In spite of the drama generated over Ukraine there are still thousands of people in France concerned about their economic plight and their loss of personal liberty during COVID protesting on the streets in towns and cities across the country.

The niece and Zemmour who is a French Sean Hannity IMHO are obviously “Conservative Movement” trying to stop Le Pen who is considered Nationalist and Racist.
