No, although there would have been a limited amount of truth to that a few months ago, but it was grossly exaggerated and misrepresented.
A small number of indigenous people who were either infected with COVID, or who had been living with people who were infected, from very small, very isolated communities where where there was no medical care available, were temporarily taken to a facility near Darwin (the nearest large city) so they could be near a hospital if their conditions deteriorated. They were returned home as soon as they were recovered, or it was clear they had not become infected despite living with infected people.
This happened months ago at this point. If there is another similar outbreak in a similarly isolated community, it's not impossible it could happen again, but so far, it's been a one off event.
Most people outside rural Australia have no understanding how isolated these communities are - they are in the middle of the desert often hundreds of miles from the nearest town. It has been standard practice for decades to move people under these conditions when they need medical attention. It is a practice that has been agreed with these communities in order that these people can continue to live on their ancestral lands. The government provides these communities with the high level of support they need to exist including fly in/fly out medical treatment and medeevac to a city hospital when needed. There's nothing sinister or concerning in it.
The facility currently being used is a former mining workers camp that was built in 2012 and closed in 2018 (it was built to house people who were building a gas plant, and closed when the plant was completed). Because, it's a nice, modern, comfortable facility, the Northern Territory government decided to use it for any quarantine purposes - mostly international arrivals - but it can be used as well for people who would normally be able to quarantine in their own homes, but where, for whatever reason that isn't practical (most often because if they stayed at home, other people living with them would have to quarantine as well), they can be moved there. It's reasonable to think that people shouldn't have to quarantine at all under any circumstances, but it has been policy for infected people on their close contacts to quarantine for short periods, and some of those people did wind up there. But, again, that's largely months ago now and it was only ever a fairly small number of people.
They certainly weren't 'reeducation camps' or 'concentration camps' or any of the other weird labels people tried to put on them. And there was only one of them.
Note - in as far as this happened, it was also done by the Northern Territory government, not the Australian government. For constitutional reasons, public health matters are in the hands of state and territory governments in Australia, not the Federal government (which cannot overrule the states in their domains). Some state and territory governments (particularly those of Western Australian and Victoria) have at times gone way too far in trying to deal with COVID and acted in a dictatorial and authoritarian manner. But they are only parts of the country, and the rest of the country, and, in my view, the country as a whole, should not be tarred with the brush of their excesses - it'd be like somebody basing their opinion on what America as a whole is like based on what happens in California. Australia has its far left pockets just like the US does. I live in one of them, unfortunately - Melbourne, Victoria, under the socialist Premier Daniel Andrews.
(A second 'camp' has just opened in Melbourne, Australia in the last week or so - if the Victorian government had had it available last year, I wouldn't have put it past them to use it in questionable ways - and I still wouldn't rule it out as a possibility in the future, but as it is, it's opened at a time when nearly all quarantining is over - they are actually apparently considering using it to host Ukrainian refugees at the moment).

Those teenagers weren’t there because they were infected. They were there because they were close contacts of infected people. You may disagree with the idea that mere close contacts should have to quarantine but painting it as if their infection status is what was relevant is misleading. They were also legally still children and so when they ran way they were returned to their parents which is what happens in most places. We also don’t leave children alone in the desert when their parents can’t care for them.
But don’t let the facts get in the way of your confected and manipulated outrage.
