SACRAMENTO, CA — There was a massive police response to a reported active shooter at a church in the Arden area of Sacramento County Monday evening.
The scene is near Wyda Way and Ethan Way — the site of ‘The Church in Sacramento.’
Police have provided few details. Although, scanner reports indicated ‘multiple people down.’

At least five people are dead, including the suspected gunman, following a shooting at a church in Sacramento, California, on Monday, according to multiple reports.
The gunman killed three kids before turning the gun on himself around 5 p.m. at an Arden-Arcade area church in Sacramento. Those killed were pronounced dead at the scene and authorities believe the incident was domestic violence-related. Details on the fifth person are not yet available.
Law enforcement is investigating and nearby roads are closed.

“The Church in Sacramento” has a security gate on its parking lot.
Many houses in the neighborhood have security bars on windows and doors.
Noticeable trash on the ground. Not that there’s anything wrong with that.
This one may be headed to the memory hole.

Yeah, much of the Arden area is sprawl, built in the 70s... back then it was pretty nice but now it’s decayed.
It's about two miles from Rio Linda.
In the Google street view of the neighborhood, you can see the warm light of the beautiful California sun playing on the rather inexpensive houses and apartment buildings.
How can people find misery in such a lovely place.

When Limbaugh first made fun of Rio Linda it was still outside of town. It and Antelope got swallowed by the sprawl also.
I was thinking intervention ...but yeah it was something along those lines most likely.
It’s been a dicey neighborhood for years. Lots of cheap, slum, subsidized apartments in the area.
“The Church in Sacramento” ... what a simultaneously bland and arrogant name for a church.
The area by Arden mall is no bueno anymore.
