Been trying to find out what the deal is in this tractor video. I think it ran out of fuel and then got stolen
There's a longer cut of that video that I saw today on Reddit where you can see a Russian invasion marking 'Z' on the tractor itself. In the longer cut the guy who runs after the tractor is swearing and throwing rocks at it before the current version begins.
My guess is the armored vehicle did in fact ran out of fuel, but then the Russian troops 'commandeered' the tractor from a farmer to tow the thing back to their lines, including marking the tractor with a 'Z' to avoid friendly fire.
It would explain the guy in civilian clothes' behavior a lot better than the cutesy 'Farmer stole a tank lol' narrative that's been going around.

There's this too:
https://threadreaderapp.com/thread/1497498201527521281.html Even if everything the Ukrainian side says is made up, they still control 90% of their country.
The more that comes out, the more it becomes clear the Russian invasion plan ran into problems as soon as they crossed the border.
So what is the reality on the ground, and how did Russia mishandle this so fast?

Putin thought the Ukrainians would welcome him. He was wrong.
Putin also miscalculated the Russian mood. The Russkies don’t want to fight, leave alone kill their fellow eastern Slavs.
