They’re shutting down trucking companies involved in the convoy from doing business in Canada. Under those circumstances, I wouldn’t say Trudeau surrendered.
Also, isn’t the mandate for truckers still in place?
Unless he has tabled legislation in the House of Commons to be debated and voted upon, the Emergencies Act has not be revoked.
It was only been suspended, but is still in effect. I believe it will be in effect permanently.
Doesn’t the senate have to pass?
The text of the Emergencies Act states that it expires if not voted in favor of by both Commons and Senate “within seven sitting days”.
Yes it does.
The Senate has the ability to reject legislation.
All I’m saying is that it has not been revoked.
Thanks. I wasn’t aware of the details. I had read where the banks thought the legislation was too early.
SPJNK.
All of the “tools” used against the truckers are still in place. Financial, revoking their vehicle insurance, prohibiting certain types of fundraising to occur, etc. So, basically they just removed the forces and fences, and left the rest in place as “tools in the toolbox”.
but now Ford of Ontario has gone rogue and banning truckers from working there
Not really... While he made his announcement his stasi partner announce she will be making the provisions permanent AND they are trying to pass a thought crime law allowing people to report “intent to post hate messages.” Canada is a police state.
Did he keep all the frozen bank accounts money?.
