"I was handed this by a young girl today who asked me to open it when I got home. This is who they are"
Tweet By Former New Zealand Deputy Prime Minister Winston Peters After He Visited The Freedom Camp Protest In Wellington.
On Wednesday morning the theme of mainstream media is of increased violence at the Freedom Camp protest that began as a Freedom Convoy protest to New Zealand's capital city of Wellington.
Yesterday there were intense police movements around the protest including the the erection and or movement of concrete barriers as a means to cause distress to the protesters and scare them into leaving.
Current politicians are unwilling to speak with the protest about its call for the lifting of vaccine and other COVID mandates in New Zealand but former politicians have spoken out.
Former Prime Minister Jim Bolger of the National Party has spoken in favor of government talks with the protest.
And yesterday the former Deputy Prime Minister in Jacinda Ardern's last government, Winston Peters, visited the protest site.
Peters New Zealand First Party wiped out in the election last year after it supported the gun confiscation measures following the mosque massacres in Christchurch in 2018.
A young girl gave Peters and envelope to be opened up when he got home.
It read:
"#1 Thank for being in Wellington to fight for freedom, You are a hero to me Love Lacey"
The government and police are now cutting off access to parking one major lot at Sky Stadium will no longer be free after 6 am Thursday.
Another part of the government's strategy to end this protest is a willingness to reach some members of it by sending in the government's "Chief Human Rights Commissioner" to speak with some protesters about issues related to...

On 30 January 2008, at 27, Ardern was elected president of the International Union of Socialist Youth (IUSY) at their world congress in the Dominican Republic for a two-year term until 2010
Am I mis-understanding this? New Zealand Deputy Prime Minister Winston Peters was handed a note by a little girl? She thanks him? For supporting freedom? And he was there to support the government thugs who are oppressing people protesting in favor of freedom?
Was the girl poorly informed? Or is he just a liar?
I’m boycotting all NZ , Aussie and Canadian products - mainly meat products that I buy here in Japan . I’ll pay extra for Japanese .
Yep. No more Split Enz, or Crowded House for me!
I’ll make an exception for AC/DC, since they’re really more Scottish, than Australian.
Negative.
Mr. Peters is now out of office.
His party wiped out in last year’s election.
It had been in coalition with Ardern in the last government and he was Deputy Prime Minister then.
After the mosque killings in March of 2018 Peters was sent to Turkey to mollify Recep Tayyip Erdogan the Islamist President enraged by the murders.
Peters is out of political office now and doesn’t have to worry about meeting with protesters.
Everything except addressing the complaints. They just look for better weaponry and tactics to harm the protesters.
” “Those who make peaceful revolution impossible will make violent revolution inevitable.”
John F Kennedy
“was sent to Turkey to mollify Recep Tayyip Erdogan the Islamist President enraged by the murders.”
Why would New Zealand give a flying fornication what Erdogan and Turkey think?
With Ardern as Prime Minister at the time you can understand why.
Yep. Was she expecting a Turkish fleet to come attack them? All that drama because Erdogan might say something scornful?
Some cowardly F-16 pilot owes the world an apology for not blowing his bizjet outta the sky during that coup.
Probably just a typical prog lie.
Their version of prog lies here in the US about "my 9 year old daughter/son came home from school crying about blah blah whatever so-and-so said."
Prog politicians use it a lot because the media will instantly run with it and no one will make them prove it happened.
.
The Japanese pastrami is worth the extra money!
So much for a democracy. They are proving its all just lip service.
