Democrats were caught off guard by Donald Trump’s numbers in South Texas in 2020. The Hispanic Republican women who live there were not.
Many of them have played a leading role in urging their neighbors in majority-Hispanic South Texas to question their traditional loyalty to the Democratic Party.
Hispanic women now serve as party chairs in the state’s four southernmost border counties, spanning a distance from Brownsville almost to Laredo — places where Trump made some of his biggest inroads with Latino voters.
A half-dozen of them are running for Congress across the state’s four House districts that border Mexico, including Monica De La Cruz, the GOP front-runner in one of Texas’ most competitive seats in the Rio Grande Valley. It’s some of the clearest evidence that Trump’s 2020 performance there may not have been an anomaly, but rather a sign of significant Republican inroads among Texas Hispanics — perhaps not enough to threaten the Democratic advantage among those voters, but enough to send ripples of fear through a party that is experiencing erosion among Hispanics across the country.
*** They want more border security or are staunchly against abortions. They feel their husbands, family members, neighbors and friends that are Border Patrol agents or are in law enforcement are being unfairly villainized by Democrats. They worry Democrats are hostile to the oil and gas industry, which provides many good-paying jobs in the state. They worry the left is forgetting family values and the value of work.

The Democrat Party is largely becoming a party of just Blacks, Jewish people, and “social fascists.” This is not a winning strategy….election fraud excepted.
Lots of sexual weirdos and freaks in the Dem closet too. Just angry, deranged, mentally ill and perpetually offended. But Hispanics are some of our finest people. The new Italians. That should really worry the communists.
Democrats stopped representing working people on common sense issues - and started representing criminals, trannies, sexual perverts, radical muslims, and America-haters of all kinds. Their post-modern neo-marxism has completely taken over.
Its taken 30 years to recognize this, but people are finally catching on.
Imagine zero crime in Texas. All they have to do is secede and deport all the criminals.
Pleeeeeeaaaase bring some to Bexar County! I checked the other day and the only Republicans who represent me are Cornyn and Cruz. Everybody else is a Dem, right down to the city councilman. And no, I don’t need comments about Cornyn’s RINOsity.

The GOP is going to really need those hispanic votes because a lot of folks feel the same way you do about the party.
Many of us are tired of being stabbed in the back and are fed up with their lies.
Ryan: but you want a true conservative agenda, don’t you.

That will get the wall built quickly. Pelosi and Schumer will build it themselves, if true.
Mexican and Central American people understand the socialism, lawlessness, and chaos were the source of problems they escaped from. They don’t want to lose the good thing they found in the USA.
Sure, but there are a ton of American citizens of Hispanic descent. It would be great to have the majority on our side.
You forgot Asians. They are hard working. Entrepreneurial. But they still vote Democratic. Hispanics are turned off by Democrats big time. Especially in Florida and Texas. California's a different story though.

I've often thought that their 24/7/365 BLM message would eventually drive away Hispanics.
In Virginia, it's been reported that Glenn Youngkin won the Hispanic vote.
Doesn’t exactly look like Indians and Chinese are running to the GOP either. We saw that in the NJ Gubernatorial election where Hispanics shifted more GOP but Asians remained with Murphy at same levels as 2017.
Orthodox Jews are with us... so are the one in six black men and their families who voted for Trump - men and families who are sick of the democrat plantation. And Hispanics? We have the Hispanics who value traditional families, secure borders and think blurred sexuality is stupid.
Both parties are racially mixed - but we don’t have any white liberal ‘elites’... which is a blessing for our side.
