As musicians pull out of Spotify over Joe Rogan, Jon Stewart is coming to the podcast host's defense.
The former host of The Daily Show on his podcast discussed artists like Neil Young leaving Spotify in protest of COVID-19 misinformation on Rogan's show The Joe Rogan Experience. Stewart criticized "overblown rhetoric" about Rogan, arguing he's not "an ideologue in any way" and is open to being corrected when he's wrong. When it comes to the Spotify protest, Stewart said that in general, his philosophy is "don't leave, don't abandon, don't censor, engage."

Either Jon wanted off the air, in which case, he should STFU now, he gave up his bully pulpit, orrrr, he was crying about the end of his run on The Daily Show because he was being forced out, in which case, what did his employers have on him?

Lots of decent people are sick of the darkness of ‘cancel culture’. It’s totalitarian. Intelligent people know that. Jon Stewart’s not the only ‘liberal’ standing up against that evil.

Wow. Two washed up singers who are an infinitesimal portion of the Spotify offerings.
Exactly.
And hell, one of Neal’s biggest hits was a protest song about murder by government, and here is is telling us we should be trusting the government. The irony is palpable.
