On this All Hallows' Eve, a special Halloween look at last week's program - "Hitler's Monsters". The Nazi fascination with the occult is legendary, and in reality the supernatural was an essential part of the Nazi project. The regime enlisted astrology and the paranormal, paganism, Indo-Aryan mythology, witchcraft, miracle weapons, and the lost kingdom of Atlantis in reimagining German politics and society and recasting German science and religion.
Join Eric Kurlander, professor of history at Stetson University and author of Hitler's Monsters: A Supernatural History of the Third Reich, for an eye-opening look at the occult ideas, esoteric sciences, and pagan religions touted by Nazi Germany in the service of power.

You don’t understand Hitler and the Nazis without understanding the occult. He and his cronies were the children of “Ariosophy”, an anti semitic white racist propaganda node based upon Helena Blavatsky’s “Theosophy”. Young Adolf was tutored by a number of strange dudes steeped in mysticism. None of this data is hard to come by, it’s all over the Internet. You just need a little curiosity and a strong stomach to correctly target the brain of the Beast.
Adolf Hitler had little interest in the occult and the archeological history of the Germanic tribes. He indulged Himmler in it so as to bolster the image of the Germans as the “Master Race’’.
But in private Hitler was heard to say of all this digging up the past would only prove , as he put it “While Rome and Britain were great empires our ancestors were sitting around camp fires throwing stone hatchets at each other’’.
Hitler was a fan of Islam, felt if only the Germans had adopted it, instead of “flabby Christianity”, the Germans would have conquered the world.
Hitler himself had little interest in the occult.
He basically saw it as nonsense.
Actually it was Himmler who once said “Islam is the perfect religion for the warrior’’.
True. And Hitler basically agreed. Not that Hitler and Himmler were fans of the Arabs, by any stretch. They just wished that the Germans had become the standard-bearers of the religion, instead of the Arabs and Turks.
