Biden sent back the written answer to Putin. The blinking fellow delivered it and asked that the details are not disclosed.. at the same time he summarized the answer for everyone, the answer seems to be a resounding NO.
Well... then let’s do ask: what is the point for Putin to keep this secret? Publish the answer and proceed with long-prepared plan B (which is probably strike, and surely not on Ukraine!).
Unless... what is written is very far from a NO.. and Biden is willing to deliver what Putin asked for .. asking for silence just not to add yet another problem for midterms and avoid even worse splits in NATO now.
LOL. Of course. Ukrainian oligarchs know that if Biden succeeds in forcing Russia to invade they are not going to be among the winners. Best case scenario for them would be a retirement in the West with most of the assets gone.
Now, they do have a second option: a deal with Putin. Putin has been known to make sweet deals with oligarchs who are willing to be good team players.... so yes, there are attempts to make some private deals too. And they are NOT about what happens when Russia occupies Ukraine -- Russia will try to avoid this as much as possible -- but about what would happen if the Ukrainian state simply disintegrates by itself.

Ukriane is not a part of NATO. France and Germany do not want the war and Russia does not want war. Ukrine is a Wag the Dog scenario, and everyone knows it excpet D.C. Establishment hacks. Americans are more worried about the U.S. borders than borders half way around the world. Check out a recent poll. Just think that is what is admiited. Meaning it's far worse. I would add suspect it's close to 85%.

As far as being a warmonger let me assure you that I prefer to avoid war. I’ve lost good friends to war and the price of needless conflict is written on the epitaphs of too many graves these past twenty years.
That said, bowing down before imperialism is a proven path to war. Whether the imperialist is King George III, Napoleon, Hitler, or Putin the fact remains that it is far better to stop them early on while you can instead of having to pour rivers of blood to restore the peace and to free people from enslavement.
I am no fan of Joe Biden. My posting history makes that clear. I’m also not a fan of the globalists who sat back and did practically nothing when Putin invaded Ukraine in 2014. Nope, they sold their souls for Russian oil and gas.
Part of the difference now is that Putin has put all of his cards on the table and made clear that his intentions are not constrained by the borders of Ukraine. Nope, he wants the West to retreat to Cold War borderlines and to cede the free nations of Eastern Europe and the Baltics to Russia.
That’s just not going to happen. I don’t GAF who is in the White House I’ll back them on supporting free people against gangsters like Putin all day long.
