Carjackings rise in Democrat-run cities across the country

"Democrat-run cities have seen a shocking spike in carjacking cases over the last year, with some cities seeing the highest number of carjackings in decades.

According to an NBC report, carjackings are up "55 percent in New York, 63 percent in Minneapolis, and a staggering 85 percent in Philadelphia," though the report does not specify a timeframe.

According to police data obtained by CNN, New York City has seen the number of carjackings within the city quadruple in the last four years. The city recorded more than 500 carjackings in 2021, up from 328 in 2020, 132 in 2019, and 112 in 2018.

In Philadelphia, carjackings have nearly quadrupled between 2015 and 2021. The city recorded more than 800 last year, up from about 170 in 2015.

Last year in Chicago, the city recorded more than 1,800 carjackings, marking the most on record in 20 years. 2020 saw five times as many carjackings in the city as 2014. ..."

These cities aren’t just democRAT run, they’ve been democRAT run for decades! I know people hate the site but wikipedia has articles for say “mayor of chicago” or “mayor of baltimore” which list them including Party affiliation. Scanning those is eyeopening.

Unlike other crimes (with the exception of murder), carjackings WILL get reported, just to be able to collect on the insurance. So the Left can claim that ‘crime is down’ in most cases, because people don’t see a value in even reporting crime anymore when they’re dealing with Soros DAs and judges, but they’ll still report a carjacking.

Good! And the murder rate along with the rape and armed rate should skyrocket also. Over the years, they elect Democrat after Democrat for the “freebies” they provide. Let them earn their welfare money the hard way. Hell with them. When they [the people] get tired of binging murdered, shot, stabbed, robbed, raped they will elect people who will put a stop to it. Until then they are just crying so others will feel sorry for them. They got themselves in it. They will get themselves out of it.
