The rule of law is further neutered. Not only is law enforcement denied the duty to keep peace by detaining the persons who have made infractions of the law, and have good evidence to present for the case, the prosecuting attorneys may exercise an undue degree of “prosecutorial discretion”, and even when the case does somehow make it to court, the presiding judge chooses to dismiss the charges on a wholly arbitrary basis, turning the miscreant loose. Should somehow a guilty verdict be won, a full pardon may yet await the perpetrator.

Doesn’t cost the perpetrator anything but time, and then he (or she) may turn around and sue the injured party for “denial of rights” or some other flimsy excuse.

And worse yet, win a judgment.
