I ordered a Haynes car manual for my kid, but he never got it and I cannot even find the order, so I decided to stop at Half Price books to see if they had one.
I walked in and the one of the employees saw me and made a noise like he is being strangled, another one said "You have to have a mask, there are some right there" I said no thanks, "If you don't put on a mask you cannot be in the store"
I said really loudly It's ok I am just looking for your Security Theater section. The customers laugh
I considered ignoring the employees and just looking for what I wanted, but the cop shop is right next door and I am pretty sure they were ready to dial 911.
One of the employees asked what I wanted and offered to go look as long as I waited outside.
A few minutes later he came out and said they don't have but there is one at another store and he can have it transferred.
I notice he is wearing 2 masks so I asked him Are you really wearing 2 masks? and he said Why yes, yes I am
I just started laughing and walked away
What city? State?
Perfect response.
.
Please tell me you know the difference between a PUBLIC PLACE OF BUSINESS, where numerous people they don’t know are allowed access to conduct commerce, and your private home.
This poster said he had placed an order. He had business to be there.
No shop name.
No shop address
No indication what town/city
No indication what state.
I see no reason to give any more credence to this than I do to MSM “unnamed sources.
If asked to wear a mask in a business I would do it. As someone stated: Not my property. It does not hurt me to put it on for 15 minutes.
But that would be the reasonable adult thing to do.
Story: Friday I was at the hospital getting Monoclonal treatment. (11 pm) Husband in waiting room. (All medical facilities require masks, as you know) The security guard asks the only unmasked guy to put on a mask please. Unmasked guy refuses, states that “no one else is wearing amask.” This is a room full of masked people. Security guard threatens to call the sheriff. Sheriff did show up, unmasked guy complied in the end.
They did start a little tussle. DH thought unmasked guy was particularly rude because the security guard was black.
At the Half Price Books in Westerville, Ohio, if you are not Gay, Trans or look like a Carnival Act, you will not get hired.
Wife & I just ate supper, this evening, in a crowded southern MD restaurant on the Chesapeake waterfront and were embarrassed to find we were the ONLY customers coming into the place wearing masks...
You would have thought, from the eyeballs on us, that we were a pair of negroes who had just walked into a KKK meeting...
We discarded the masks quickly and enjoyed supper...
You should have told them that you would hold your breath while you were in the store.
David Hasselhoff?
Daryl Hannah?
Duane Hicks?
Dang Homo?
I'm sorry someone has stolen some of your letters.
I hope they are caught and prosecuted for making you look illiterate.
A few days ago a person posted here her furnace tech husband berated an old senior citizen woman because she asked him to wear a mask when he entered her house. (Maybe she was dealing with cancer.) He walked out.
Now this. When have conservatives become such dicks? What is so difficult for putting on a mask for 5 minutes?
Flame away. It is the truth.
We went to the “mother store” in Dallas a couple of weeks ago - some folks wearing masks, others not. At the suburban store, they were clearly afraid of us... DORKS!
dh=dear husband. 😄
Today I was happy to see a majority of people at the grocery store today were not masked. It hasn’t been required for over 6 months, but most people were still doing it.
Private business. If you don’t like it, don’t shop there.
Earlier today, I went shopping in a store that is usually strict about masks and is frequented by Biden voters, but several customers were maskless.
Last Monday, I shopped at Trader Joe’s, which was notorious for requiring masks, but I had gotten a tip that the manager was not enforcing the mask rule. Sure enough, I did my shopping maskless and no Karens gave me a hard time.
I was at Trader Joe’s today without a mask, as were most others. The employees were wearing masks.
