Do not get between a fool and his folly.

I am “Trapped Deep in the Olympic Forest”, and it comes to mind that what my ancestors did in the 1600’s is exactly what I am pondering.

My g-g-g-g grandfather was sentence to death, and dismembered publicly for refusing to compromise his faith. He was a Pastor/Minister/Reverend in Scotland. He told my/his family to flee to America. They did, and here Am I Lord.

In my twilight years, I am attempting to shepherd my children to take their children on an relatively easy trip to a Free state. I will sell my belongings, and donate all of my efforts to help them.

God save us all from what is coming, I fervently pray.

“Lead, follow, or get out of the way.”

In hindsight, if you were a Jew in the early stages of Nazi Germany, would it have been better to stay and fight or leave and survive? (sorry if this triggers you.)

How about being Irish during the great potato famine? Would it have been better to stay and starve or leave for a better life somewhere else.

History has lots of examples of where the wise move is to pack your bags and leave.

I know that this is satire, but: This is called "voting with your feet" and is a perfectly acceptable method of implementing your political will.

“Democracy is the theory that the common people know what they want and deserve to get it good and hard.”

― H.L. Mencken, A Little Book In C Major

That's my motto: Let the Dems take complete control of their states, and then let them experience the consequences of their policies - good and hard!

Regards,

Make jokes if you like, but one of my grandfathers came to the USA from Russia in precisely this spirit. And far from unique.

In all fairness, the not quite so stupid leftist progressives are fleeing to.

Outside of the big cities Californians can be as redneck as Alabamans. They’ve wanted to secede for years. Split Cal in two.

I don’t believe that’s accurate. In fact, I think until recently many native red-staters have been somewhat complacent on many issues, whereas a conservative Californian or New Yorker knows firsthand just how bad liberal policies are. Here in Massachusetts there’s multiple hoops to jump through to get a CCW. Many red states have had permitting programs as well, but people weren’t too concerned because the programs weren’t designed to discourage people from even attempting to acquire a carry permit. The surge in constitutional carry laws is a good indication that red staters aren’t staying complacent.

And yet, Fresno CA is the home of FreeRepublic.com.

I doubt JimRob has any intention of picking up and moving.

What can you do, they’re as free to move about as any of us are. Can’t take that away from anyone. They’ve been very patient for decades in taking over education and media, changing and forming minds, exploiting our own systems against us. I don’t know there’s a quick answer, the same patience in undoing their work?

It’s tough to overcome the blueness of blue states while centuries old voter lists exist. They may have a chance if current voter registrations were purged and people were re-registered with proper photo ID AND a corresponding Social Security number. But such a plan would probably be called racist.

“I don’t believe that’s accurate.”

It’s just my opinion guided by my own bias. And in this case, if I’m wrong, (as I am more than I’d like to admit), it’s a good thing. If the escapees from the commie states are indeed conservative, that’s great.

That’s Ironically, that’s what too many Dems in Blue states are doing to Red states.
