Right??
I hope you were being sarcastic. Lacking a /sarcasm tag, I have to assume you were serious.
No state actor, of any tier, is permitted to violate the US Constitution.
So, no, your post (again, assuming you are serious) is a complete non-sequitur.
BUT...IF we’re saying leave things up to the individual states then NY is within their rights to do this....IF WE’re truly saying leave it up to the states.
Right??
NO, not right. Leaving things “up to the states” never includes the subversion of the Constitution. States are still constrained by that agreement they made long ago.
Civil Rights being violated is something else but since we have a commie DOJ/FBI, nothing will come of it.
It’s about money.
Cops won’t say no because of the paychecks and the retirement.
Citizens won’t leave because they make good money in NY and have nice stuff.
They both get what they deserve.
My fear is that in my “lesser paid” community the police still have this paycheck and retirement hanging around their neck.
They will comply with their directives.
I know two cops who quit and now do uber. They stood for their principles and are now poor.
