Merriam-Webster defines “enervated” as “lacking physical, mental, or moral vigor.” The Oxford Lexico Dictionary defines it as “drained of energy or vitality.” Both are perfect descriptions of Joe Biden.

I am surprised to learn that this is indeed the proper definition. I would bet that if you asked people to defined the word "enervated" they would say it's something like the Energizer Bunny. You know: energetic, won't stop, always on the go. Just ... enervated. Maybe I'm off on this, but I think my vocabulary is pretty good and if I wanted to describe Joe Biden as drained of energy or vitality, I would have avoided a term like "enervated" because (I think) it would give the opposite impression to many people.

The one thing the propaganda media is best at is manipulating language. As you point out, the word “enervated” sounds a lot like “energized”. They are counting on people being too ignorant to know what it means.
