It was part of Sacred Heart Elementary School's Christmas pageant. My 7-year-old sister played Hitler's secretary, Fräulein Jung, while I portrayed one of the Three Wise Men.

The only problem I have with teaching the Holocaust is it has no attached comparable coverage of Communist Genocides.
At my former school all kids had to read Diary of Ann Frank, then discuss the evils of Nationalism etc. As far as I know the kids didn’t even know who Stalin, Mao or Pol Pot was.
One of my last years a long, dark haired 14 year old boy wore a giant hammer and sickle T-Shirt to MS graduation. I complained to my Principal and she basically told me to mind my business. I complained to the social studies teachers as well and they either laughed at me or said it was state mandate and they couldn’t do anything (which it actually is in Indiana).
You know, if the lefttards haven't figured out by now who they are, chimps are going to start complaining about the intellectual competition.

I have so little faith in American schools that I would bet that this was presented, not as a cautionary lesson on what to avoid, but as a training manual/indoctrination for these youngsters on how to treat Christians, Conservatives, the unjabbed...

I would have told him there was a stain on his shirt and I’d get it off then cut it up then write him up for not having a shirt (cut up one hidden of course). F communism!
Third grade seems a bit early, but children should be taught about the holocaust and other evils, and about those who cause them, lest they be repeated.
With all due respect, how is nationalism evil? Love for your country and putting her needs first would seem to be a GOOD thing.
You may be confusing nationalism with National Socialism; that's a whole different topic!
Oh, for pete’s sake. You can teach about the Holocaust without trying to reenact it.

Kids, you can’t go wrong if you assume everything your teachers do is part of a giant practical joke they are playing on you.
Where are the offended Muslims who deny the holocaust when you need them?
