BTW, from what I read, only approximately 1/3 of colonial residents backed the War of Independence. One third sat on the fence until it was all decided and the other third backed King George. After the Treaty of 1783, those who weren’t killed, were tossed out of the US and formed the United Empire Loyalists, who eventually created Ontario.
Another BTW, the majority of people living in ‘Canada’ at the time, were French, who were only interested in continuing to live and farm as they had during the French regime. The Brits offered that, so they were not willing to rebel. They considered the Revolution as an ‘English’ war, fought between ‘English’. The majority of English in Canada, lived in the Maritimes, primarily around Halifax, a major Royal Navy base. They owed their well being to the British, so why would they revolt?
FWIW, almost ALL formerly ‘free’ countries (including the US) are going through the same totalitarianism. Will ‘freedom reigns, or will tyranny triumph? I suspect the latter. The Good News is that Christ’s return is imminent, I believe.

The residence would no longer exist if this was an effective protest. Justin and his cohorts were most likely not even there. They definitely laughed and made fun of the protesters.
When the massive protest moves inside the residence they will make progress. Until then, nothing will change.
