A majority of Americans say they feel “worn out” by how COVID has impacted their daily lives, and nearly half feel “angry” about it. And the public’s exasperation may also be having an impact on how they view their political leaders’ handling of the pandemic, according to the latest Monmouth University Poll. Support for face mask and workplace vaccine mandates has also declined since the fall when the delta variant started to dominate.
Six in ten Americans feel worn out by pandemic-related changes they have had to make to their daily lives over the past 20 months. This includes 36% who feel worn out a lot and 24% who feel worn out a little. The poll also finds that nearly half of the public feels angry about how COVID has impacted their daily lives – 24% a lot and 21% a little. Republicans (64%) are no more likely than Democrats (63%) to say they feel at least a little worn out by pandemic-related changes to their lives, but they are much more likely to report feeling angry (63% and 34%, respectively).
Looking at both feelings simultaneously, just over one-third (36%) of the country reports being both worn out and angry. Another 25% feels worn out but not angry and 9% feels angry but not worn out, while 30% say they don’t feel either way about COVID-driven changes to their daily lives. Other than partisan-related variations in these results, there are few significant demographic differences in reports of being either worn out or angry due to the pandemic. However, adults under 55 years old (74%) are somewhat more likely than those aged 55 and older (63%) to say that they feel either or both of these negative emotions....

I’m not “ worn out “.
I love being a faceless, masked robot at my empire’s command.
Those mandated, quarterly jabs are fun too.
I’m worn out from hearing about covid, but covid has not dictated my life. I’ve been active, very rarely think of covid or wearing a mask. I’m not afraid of people or their cooties. And, yes, I’ve been vaccinated. Having said this, I will probably get the Omnicrom or whatever variant tomorrow.
In my part of the world, perfectly healthy people without comorbitities are freaking out about Omnicron like it’s March 2020 all over again.
Went to various big national chain stores today in socal sans mask with no problem. More than than 50 % were still wearing masks.
Just part of the plan of the plandemic . . . .
I know you’re not joking, and I honestly mean no offense, but... unless the Talk becomes Action, it all means sh*t.
The last several years have taught most of us what cowards we are, as compared to our founders.
It’s not Covid that’s wearing people out.
It’s the draconian wannabe dictators flaunting their newfound powers to control people’s lives.
TV will do that to you.
Me too. I found it oddly exhausting, however, seeing the sheeple in their masks.
This must be why my daughter is over-reacting to my eating dinner out at a restaurant last night. She lives in Brooklyn, but visits her boyfriend’s parents frequently who live near you.
Of course, my husband and I are just rural deplorable folk, despite both of us having decent college degrees from two great universities.
Anybody who does not have a real underlying condition and voluntary wears a mask should be publicly ridiculed.
Worn out by the government BS....Covid is NOT the problem
Turn off the boob tube and live your life.
I’ve been active, very rarely think of covid or wearing a mask either and I haven’t been vaccinated.
They ddidn’t “wear” me out either. I’ve been maskless since lockdown 1 last year 2020.
This is as clear a false flag call for violence that I’ve seen here. Only a fed would call for other people to “do stuff” in the way your referring.
I hope people don’t take your bait.
“I hope people don’t take your bait.”
They won’t, unless they’re stupid.
Many members of Free Republic, just like to “blow off” a little rhetorical steam.
I’ve never taken them literally.
