I am selectively pro and anti vax.

Pro Pfizer. Pro Moderna.

Anti J&J Anti AstraZeneca

Not quite sure yet on Shionogi, which should be out in
oral form soon in Japan once the final clinicals are completed. They are painstaking here and very careful, zero risk culture—it is taking forever for Ministry approvals for deployment by hospitals and doctors, similar to how long they took to get Pfizer and Moderna out into the public.

On the other hand, I am reading so many stories about various Christian pastors around the USA who fiercely urged resistance in sermons and online to mRNA and masks, but who were then hospitalized themselves for COVID, ventilated, intubated and finally passed away to be with Jesus. And the embarrassingly chaste FB and other pages up after their demise. Duh. R.I.P.

Thats weird because that isn’t what they said in 202 and early 2021. Back then, it said it prevents covid.

Just like lib media, vaxxers change the story

I personally believe they should have put as much energy into early detection (at home test kits) and therapeutics,, especially monoclonal antibodies which seem to be the best therapeutic if given early.

I have heard of this thing called “ mutation “, on the spike protein, that changes the nature of the virus, and defeats elements of previously used vaccines.

That is on the hospitals for killing them by refusing life-saving treatments

The variants are growing weaker.... for all we know this omicron may be more of a cure than a disease... it may be the variant that provides mass herd immunity.

Moderna is banned in several countries in Europe for people under 18 or 30 depending on the country.

@ post 27 - yeah the vaccinated are creating them. Biology 101. Environmental pressure put on a virus that replicates every ten hours will select for strain that gets around the pressure. Hopefully you are not contributing to the mutation factory.

Good point. And, what do you make of the initial Federal Government expenditure of over $12billion initially to get Operation Warpspeed up and running with total mobilization to get the mRNA vaccines shipshape and out to the public? It was a phenomenal effort at such a rapid rate, but was it wrong, or were we given a bum steer by Trump, if these vaccines are ineffective or as some even say here, evil, cabalistic in some way?

Wonder if he took Ivermectin?
_____________
Another ‘breakthrough’ case. Not so great advice from his doctor with bad heart to start with.

...it was very light symptoms and over in about six days...

Yep. This was always the logic for annual flu vaccinations. It also slows down the spread and makes it unlikely that an entire family unit, or organization, will all be bowled over at the same time. It's NOT at all a guarantee that you won't get the flu.

The most reasonable assumption is that it works the same for the Made in China virus. Mark has kept up with his vaccinations and recently got a booster. Now he'll get the natural immunity that man of us talked about, but with the disease itself being manageable and much less dangerous.

They had an advisory out regarding heart condition side effect, rare but of enough concern to have them issue a circular to medical professionals to be on the alert.

I can provide a link but it is in Japanese.

I’m much more simple in my thinking than that... pretty much everyone did not know a thing... especially Trump.. he was flying blind... he did what he thought was best... though in hindsight his wish to give therapeutics as much attention as vaccines should have been followed up on. This intense focus on vaccines alone probably has caused a lot of deaths.

I do not think it is sold openly. It is not authorized for use outside of clinicals they are doing in Osaka I believe, although they might already be prescribing it. The prime movers in Japan's recovery essentially from COVID were the two vaccines, which as I said took forever to get approved here after multiple retesting and clinicals, i.e. they would not accept the clinical testing data from abroad on non Japanese and wanted a testbed of Japanese patients to try it out on. There was initially a temporary hold on Moderna being used, but it was reapproved. That is the one I had.

Japan also never approved the use of ivermectin for use against COVID-19. The doctor who suggested in August it might be an option - if further research found it to be effective - was chair of the Tokyo Medical Association (TMA), which is not a governmental agency and has no authority to make such a decree. Nor is ivermectin listed as an approved treatment by the Japanese government. I know of NO doctors here prescribing it. Absolutely none whatsoever. But I do now there were some bogus "news sites" back in the states, making some wild claims--since discredited.
