This has a ring of credibility to it.
The new Prime Minister, Naftali Bennet, was himself a trigger-pulling Special Forces operator, who had served in Sayeret Matkal, which routinely conducts strategic reconnaissance deep behind enemy lines. His Military career indicates that he is no shirking violet, but rather that his predilection is to take the initiative in going after the enemy.
It seems likely that he would unleash the Military and Intelligence Services to operate within Iran - he probably would like to get in on it, if only vicariously.
Up until last year, PM Bennet was serving as Minister of Defense.
So he is likely well informed of Intelligence on Iran, and well versed in the operational options being considered.
There has been more than enough time to have considered and prepared for such options.
It seems that PM Bennet might be particularly inclined to give the political authorization for such options.
I hope that they go to the trouble of framing Domestic Iranian suspects for any operations they do conduct in Iran, to get them at each others throats, and delay/deflect Iranian counter strikes, and avoid concentrating Iranian forces attention on catching operators.
Israel/Iran Ping
...after Hanukkah, back to work.
Why does that noobie boot, humblegunner, even warrant a reply ??
Thanks GOPJ. This is merely a British journalist, probably knows barely any more than anyone here (particularly collectively), but I'd be surprised if this isn't the case, but doubt that the major strike will come before 2022's Ramadan.
Karen’s gotta Karen.
I knew that Israel has used that method in the past, but they had not done so recently. I believe what Trump did gave them a boost and have taken up the task since Trump can’t do so...yet.
Yeah the “ rocks for houses analogy “ was intended to indicate a bit more than simple countervailing force.
To quote an infamous American, “ if they bring a knife, we bring a gun” or something like that.
Exactly.
I wouldn’t want to provoke or scare an enemy. If something goes down, I want him crippled or dead. And I wouldn’t want him to see it coming or have clue who did it to him.
“Fair Fight” is an old Indian phrase for “Bad Tactics.”
