The Cowboys coaching staff has been hit hard by COVID, and now the head coach is among those infected, as Mike McCarthy has tested positive and will miss the Thursday night game against the Saints.
The report says there may be up to eight positive cases within the Cowboys organization.
Offensive line coaches Joe Philbin and Jeff Blasko have both also been ruled out because of COVID protocols.
The Cowboys are hoping to have wide receiver Amari Cooper back from his stint on the COVID-19 reserve list, while Terence Steele and Blake Jarwin were both placed on the COVID-19 reserve list in recent days.

So last weekend I watch all these football games on tv with 100,000 people packed in like sardines and screaming their guts out for three hours.

They also made personnel decisions, cutting players and firing coaches who didn’t get the vaccine.
Teams also tracked and announced the percentage of players on the team that had the vaccine, trying to get this to higher and higher numbers.
Cam Newton was cut by the Patriots around the start of the season and not picked up by another team until recently and he last I heard at least never got the vaccine.
Lamar Jackson didn’t disclose his vaccine status at one point and I interpreted his statements as leading me to personally believe he probably didn’t get the vaccine. Have rooted for him more because of this.
With Aaron Rodgers it is well known now that he didn’t get the vaccine.
Haven’t seen anything about any Raiders players not getting the vaccine, not sure what their percent vaccinated is, while the fans have to be vaccinated to attend the home games.
