I asked the question a week ago, what’s going on with those 14,000 left behind in Afghanistan? The beheadings, torture, physical and sexual abuse certainly didn’t stop.
Articles and reports are starting to break through.

There was a scandal back in the 1920’s about selling the nation’s strategic oil reserves for political power and influence .... Teapot Dome I believe they called it.
Opening up the SPR now, after closing off production and conveyance of oil, is like saying “OK boys, we fumbled on our last possession and we got stopped hard at the line on first down, so our best bet is to punt on 2nd down. On two; break!”
Now that’s some real strategic thinkin’.
I dunno. I wonder how many of those 14,000 are just placeholders that someone is collecting money on. Like those New Orleans cops that didn’t show up for roll call during the Hurricane Katrina days. It came out they were just names and files in the system and someone(s) pocketed their pay.
