Progressives like this are what Eric Hoffer described as “true believers.” They really do not care about getting the truth, and are impervious to rational thinking, critical judgment. For most of us, it is genuinely hard to accept that there is a significant population perfectly willing to deny the facts in front of them and instead support a fabricated narrative. Butt they exist, and this article presents a good example.
No, and neither can conservatives if it is about a subject they feel strongly about.
There are reasonable people who are amenable to facts, but in my experience they are small in number compared to everyone else who is not moved by facts.
Emotion is the most successful method of arguing, but it only works if you can put forth a sufficiently moving emotional argument.
The reason you can’t convince some Leftists is because they don’t reveal their real reasons.

The Left needs for Antifa and BLM to feel safe on the streets while they loot, riot, and burn, otherwise they are less likely to show up. The left NEEDS their thugs to intimidate conservatives into silence. Kyle’s acts threatened that dynamic.
Leftists don't have friends. They only have people they see as being susceptible to influence. At the point the Leftist sees you as someone who can't be converted, then they cancel you.
If you read the FBI declassified files on the Weathermen you will find they landed on the idea of using the blacks to cause dissention in the United States.
Obama has connections to the Weathermen. I’m sure this is all been the plan for years and is now so big it’s hard not to see the leaks.

Agree.... but I was speaking in terms of the sane person thinking of the progressive as a ‘friend.’ I won’t associate with anyone who is a leftist progressive. And that includes family.
