Many of the same reasons go for India, a place that I have visited MANY times.
They are YOUNGER, by far.
They have VERY ROBUST immune systems.. since most live in filth, daily.
They applied Ivermectin broadly, and effectively (from what I can tell).
Still, they were eventually hit pretty hard. There is NO ESCAPING this disease.

An anachronistic fallacy; cart before horse. It took TIME for India to CATCH ON to using Ivermectin. AND they were successful when they FINALLY used Ivermectin.
