Does anyone have confidence in McConnell and the senate Republicans making sure that the BBB bill never becomes law?

After Youngkin defeated McAuliffe in VA, you would hope Manchin got the message that anything of the Left is poison where he comes from. Going through the small towns in the western part of VA that border WV, they were going 80/20 or even 90/10 for the republican. If he goes in with the democrats, Manchin would be dead meat. The country folks with their pitchforks will be coming to get him. The Green Raw Deal crap in that bill is death to the coal and natural gas industries that are the backbone of WV’s economy.
Having said that, I don’t understand why the Turtle hasn’t offered Manchin a top committee assignment in exchange for flipping right now. Manchin would be a hero at home and the Turtle could use that coup to save his leadership post as Trump is trying to force him out.
Every car produced will cost much more (only part of that is Climate related).

Schumer just needs to pick off two of Manchin, Sinema, Capito, Collins, or Murkowski. My bet is on the WV senators as that state only survives on the government teat. WV is a red state, but voters will vote their pocketbook over party ideology.

McConnell teed up the Green New Deal to pass with 50 votes via the reconciliation process by allowing the Dems to pass two bills. One so-called good “bipartisan” infrastructure bill and one bad Marxist bill. He could have forced the Dems to roll everything into one Senate bill by refusing to play ball. That likely would have killed the GND in the Senate because GOPers and “moderate” would have had no cover to vote for it.
The bottom line is the GOP obviously wants both bills to pass but don’t want their fingerprints on the GND. There can be no other explanation for the GOP Senate greasing the passage of the Green New Deal Bill with 50 votes. This is Obamacare all over again.
The Republicans in the senate will not vote for BBB, even Murkowski and Collins. It’s all up to Manchin who will fold when they bring the 1.9 trillion down to 1.7 trillion, figuring he has put up the necessary show for his W Virginia constituents before he folds into line.
The Republicans already voted for the Green New Deal Marxist bill when they passed the debt ceiling and the “good” infrastructure bill. Don’t be duped by their beltway scam.
