Why Gun Laws Target Lawful Owners

Congress is not hiding their desire to eliminate guns from law abiding gun owners and they are doing it by submitting and passing bills into law that will shred the power of our Second Amendment. Our forefathers thought so highly of the right of citizens to own guns to protect themselves but ultimately to protect themselves from a government that had become too powerful, controlling and basically, out of control that they included protection of that right in our Bill of Rights. It is quite clear that the foresight these incredibly brilliant men had was prescient. It is also quite clear today that with our government continuing its war on Police, ICE, Border Patrol and its overzealous urge to minimize sentences and to reduce the prison population, we need to be able to protect ourselves, families and properties. Without being able to legally own guns and ammunition, this task will be much more difficult.

We have more than enough laws that target criminals; the lawful gun owners are all that are left. All new gun laws should have an expiration date. If it doesn’t work, it goes away.

Easy. Because law-abiding gun owners are, by definition, law-abiding. Criminals break the law. If they’re already breaking a bunch of laws and committing violent crimes, they’re not going to worry too much about a gun possession charge. We law-abiding gun owners are the easy, low-hanging fruit.

Because criminals do not care about laws.

“Did you really think we want those laws observed?” said Dr. Ferris. “We want them to be broken. You’d better get it straight that it’s not a bunch of boy scouts you’re up against... We’re after power and we mean it... There’s no way to rule innocent men. The only power any government has is the power to crack down on criminals. Well, when there aren’t enough criminals one makes them. One declares so many things to be a crime that it becomes impossible for men to live without breaking laws. Who wants a nation of law-abiding citizens? What’s there in that for anyone? But just pass the kind of laws that can neither be observed nor enforced or objectively interpreted – and you create a nation of law-breakers – and then you cash in on guilt. Now that’s the system, Mr. Reardon, that’s the game, and once you understand it, you’ll be much easier to deal with.”

“Why Gun Laws Target Lawful Owners”

Because the government know they shouldn’t impinge the right of criminals to carry illegal firearms ... just like they can’t impinge the right of illegal aliens to cross our borders and demand their benefits.

All new gun laws should have an expiration date.

Fixed it. No law passed 100 years ago should be controlling us in perpetuity.

If guns are outlawed then only outlaws will have guns.

Including Lefty who tried to shoot Kyle.

The idea behind expiration of legislation is a slippery slope to abolishing the Constitution. Laws can be(and a great many should be) struck down or repealed. The process is there. We need legislators with integrity and faithfulness to their duty. If this expiration idea were to catch on. It would be applied to the US Constitution(many have already suggested we should no longer be controlled by it due to being outdated.) we would be hopelessly lost. The nation has only survived this long because of a brilliant and strong Constitution.

Path of least resistance. Criminals fire back where most law abiding citizens would never take a shot at law enforcement.
