Much as the liberal media might celebrate the conviction of Kyle Rittenhouse — someone, as our Curtis Houck has documented, they have tried to brand as a white-supremacist vigilante — the MSM is grudgingly having to admit that conviction could be unlikely.
Friday, back on Morning Joe, Scarborough and former prosecutor Charles Coleman used the same term—"uphill battle"—to portray the prosecution's predicament.
Coleman said that the defense should be "feeling pretty good" going into closing arguments. And Scarborough capped the bad news for those calling for a Rittenhouse conviction by saying that things are "going to be extraordinarily difficult for the prosecution."

If and when Rittenhouse is acquitted on some or all charges, stand by for liberal gnashing of teeth rivaling that on Election Night when Republican Glenn Youngkin defeated Democrat Terry McAuliffe for the Virginia governorship!
Ping to Liberal Media Criticism list.
They want an innocent man to be convicted for a crime he didn’t admit in order to assuage their political desires. This is entirely expected from people like the Intern-Killer.
Gee. “Extraordinarily difficult for the prosecution”.
Yeah.
All that pesky video. All that irritating real context to the event. All the testimony under oath.
Darn.
If it weren’t for the truth, their job would be so much easier as prosecutors. Darn.
Well, convicting an innocent man should be difficult.
Yeah, it’s tough. The Commie Left wants to PRETEND that they are the good guys. . . THEY NEVER, EVER ARE!!!!! As in this trial, they have great trouble overcoming the truth. They could NOT avoid a fair discussion in this court room. They could not lie their way out of it. What I have seen so far has been refreshing to me: Commie bums being proven to be Commie bum liars!!!!
Your Demo butt kisser
My understanding is that there is pending, but not yet ruled upon, what in CA we would call a Motion for Directed Verdict. I’d be stunned if the judge doesn’t grant that.
I actually saw more gnashing of the teeth and then radio silence from the doomer crowd after the Youngkin win than I saw from any liberal. Liberals shake off election losses and move on to the next battle. The doomer crowd? No so much… it transforms quickly to “all is lost” “woe is me” and “I’m notz votings no moarh.”
He can’t even be found guilty of the weapons charge. He is part of the Militia of the United States. Below is from the US code. a and b2 apply to Kyle:
10 U.S. Code § 246 - Militia: composition and classes
(a)The militia of the United States consists of all able-bodied males at least 17 years of age and, except as provided in section 313 of title 32, under 45 years of age who are, or who have made a declaration of intention to become, citizens of the United States and of female citizens of the United States who are members of the National Guard.
(b)The classes of the militia are—
-—(1)the organized militia, which consists of the National Guard and the Naval Militia; and
-—(2)the unorganized militia, which consists of the members of the militia who are not members of the National Guard or the Naval Militia.
I bring this up because of the recurring discussions of "shoot to kill vs shoot to stop". Make it abundantly clear to yourself, and to jury if need be, that your goal is NOT to kill, that while shooting might cause death you don't know, nor intend, that death occur - your sole goal is to STOP the threat.
Of course, when they don’t have a case in the first place and they have to lie, hide exculpatory evidence and play politics, they are going to fail.
You watching the Rekieta Law feed? they brought that point up an hour ago. :-)
Only the jury decides and I won’t be surprised with either verdict.
It certainly SHOULD be ‘extraordinarily difficult’ to convict an innocent man in the USA. The fact that it got this far is extraordinary in the first place. The MSM should be deeply ashamed.

I then researched it and the results I’ve posted here. I’d never heard of this until they mentioned it.
My, how sad they look at not being able to railroad a 17 year old kid.
