WOKECAR: Nascar Slams “Let’s Go Brandon” Chant, Threatens Lawsuits Against Fans
Big League Politics ^ | 11/06/21

Racing league NASCAR has attacked the “Let’s Go Brandon” chant, castigating the sport’s conservative fans in favor of a political alliance with the corporate media and the Left.

Steve Phelps, the president of the corporation, said that NASCAR does not want to he associated with the saying, which originated from an interview following a race. An NBC personality misheard NASCAR fans chanting “F*** Joe Biden,” instead translating the words from the crowd as “Let’s Go Brandon,” believing the fans to be referencing driver Brandon Brown.

It’s an unfortunate situation and I feel for Brandon, I feel for [NBC News personality] Kelli,” Phelps said. “I think unfortunately it speaks to the state of where we are as a country. We do not want to associate ourselves with politics, the left or the right.

Do we like the fact that it kind of started with NASCAR and then is gaining ground out elsewhere? No, we’re not happy about that,” said Phelps. Liberal media personalities have increasingly freaked out over the popularity of the slogan, flabbergasted that members of the public would dare to criticize the presidential throne.

Phelps threatened lawsuits against NASCAR fans who use what they claim is copyrighted league imagery in Let’s Go Brandon merchandise. Some have sold t-shirts and material with racing stripes resembling NASCAR’s logo, although it’s unclear if a copyright claim from the league would have any merit.

NASCAR’s fans trend overwhelmingly conservative, but the “sport’s” leadership are affiliated with the media-corporate elite of the Democratic Party. A driver of the league was caught pushing a hate hoax last year, falsely claiming that a simple garage door pull in his car stall was a noose intended as a symbol of racial hatred.

“Try again. You seem to be having trouble.”

You: That would be a trademark issue, not a copyright issue. Where do these folks buy their law degrees?

Incorrect. It is a copyright issue. Obviously your mail-order law degree was not worth the postage you paid for it.

And, from my original post I was commenting on this quote from the story.

“and material with racing stripes resembling NASCAR’s logo”

Now, I understand that you might not understand the difference between various types of intellectual property rights, but there is a legal significance.

The Android / Google platform is very pervasive.

And apple is just more of the same crap.

Without a third easy option for smartphones, it becomes a nightmare of open-source stuff that not a lot of people have the know-how or time to handle.

I was a lifelong MLB fan. Dropped it when it went woke a few years ago. The withdrawal was difficult, but my $ don’t go Leftist associated causes.

So, I’ve learned to enjoy pro golf. No salaries for golfers. No street thug antics on the golf course or political statements (that I’ve seen).

Remember the outrage when deplorable NASCAR fans loudly booed Moochie Obama at a race? It was lovely.

She was sure out of her element at NASCAR, right? I don’t know what her “element” is, actually; but it’s not NASCAR. Maybe the Millennium Falcon?

She looks self-conscious and ill at ease no matter where I’ve ever seen her.

It is obvious you know nothing about copyrighting merchandise artwork to protect your royalty stream.

Thanks, I was just curious.

I too work in IT, and despise Google with a white hot burning passion...our enterprise had been using the Google documents, gmail, gdrive...ugh.

I bought my first computer in 1987, and it was an Mac SE with 4 MB RAM and a 40 MB HD, so I have been using that platform personally for a while, but Windows and UNIX at work.

Gad. How I hated using Windows 95 when it first came out, that used to crash on me constantly. I learned how to save and save often...:) It is not so bad now, and I have grown to appreciate Excel after being forced to use Google!

We just transitioned off Google last week to Office 365. I will say, I did enjoy the Google Meet, it was drop-dead stupid simple to use, but it did have the drawback of not allowing you to control the other computer, but we had other tools for that...:)

That’s VERY thin for the CEO of NASCAR. No wiki on a guy like him? Where he was born, went to school, etc etc.
This guy is like someone in witness protection.

Something stinks about his background that they are hiding.

He came from the NFL (14 yrs)
Everybody at Nas views NFL as the benchmark for sports success.
Agree or not, they are the ones with the big interest and tv ratings, and lots of sponsor money.

Where was he born, where did he go to school? Where did he work before the NFL?

He is a cypher, and unknown, and he’s hiding something.
