The Cherokee Indians here in GA are fine with the Braves and do not care about the chop.
The Atlanta Braves have a relationship with the Eastern Band of Cherokee in North Carolina.

I have grown up among the Cherokee here in N. Ga (and am 1/16 Cherokee myself), and my best friend growing up was Ute. I can tell you that in my decades as a Braves fan and being among Native Americans, this is NOT an issue. Every Indian I know personally here in GA is a Braves fan 🙂
