Baldwin knows nothing about guns. He was completely dependent upon her expertise to ensure a safe shoot.
I can’t really blame him, because it was supposed to be a prop gun. He had to rely on the weapons master to ensure the gun was safe.
Agreed. An actor cannot check the wespons before every scene the flow would just not be there
Agree with you 100%
That is totally incorrect.
Baldwin has been around movie guns since 1990 the hunt for red october. Hes been in many many films where hes fired prop guns and gone through safety talks about prop guns and blanks across 3 decades of films.
He's a wealthy loud-mouthed Commie know-it-all.
One of "the little people" died because he knows it all.
Yep, I am sure they have it all on film it is a movie set and all. He was just acting.
The weapons mAster failed old Alex and the girl he killed. Sounds like a mystery worthy of Holmes Sherlylocks.
I must respectfully disagree. Any person who is handed a gun must do a final check of that gun. If that person is unable or unwilling to do the check, then that person must not touch the gun.
“I can’t really blame him, because it was supposed to be a prop gun. He had to rely on the weapons master to ensure the gun was safe.”
Production protocols and safe practice require him to check the gun and not fire it at a person. If anyone is near the line of fire they are also to check the gun.
He is definitely to be blamed.
anyone tweeting that its not Alec Baldwin's fault will never be allowed anywhere near my range or my guns
Tim Pool

Commies in CA don’t know a gun from a hammer. i wouldn’t trust them with either.
Sorry,
Once that weapon hit Baldwin’s hands he is responsible for it.
He should have paused, demanded that weapon be proven to be used on set by it being shown as empty or discovered it had live rounds.
Baldwin will pay dearly, even if the husband of woman he murdered does
not sue, investors in this movie will. This movie is kaput.
This all true, but if the safety standard for “actors/actresses” is you never actually point the gun at a person, but always point slightly off angle, as I’ve read from set experts, he violated that rule.
The question still remains....what kind of a gun....who put the live shell in...Was it really an accident??
Yup.
Please watch YouTube video of John Schneider filmed on or around October 22nd. He discusses firearm safety and protocol required on set. Clearly if established safety measures were followed, Alec Baldwin would NOT have had this tragedy on set.
Yes this appears accidental. Yes its a tragedy. Yes Alec Baldwin has to live with it for the rest of his life. It doesnt alter the fact that for whatever reason, safety regulations established by the industry were ignored. Mr Baldwin needs to do the right thing by the law and by the families affected by the tragedy.
Baldwin pulled the trigger. He is responsible.
A pilot does not just take the word of maintenance people, they do their own pre-flight checks and visually inspect the aircraft before departing because they are responsible for that aircraft.
If someone hands you a firearm, I do not care if it is Jesus Christ himself, I am checking it before aiming toward people and pulling the trigger.
That is basic gun safety.
If someone hands you a package to take on a plane, do you have any responsibility to check it out? Of course.
Baldwin was the last line in the chain of custody. He had a responsibility to check the firearm in his possession. No excuse is possible.
He knows nothing about guns???
He’s only been handling them, movie wise, for 40 years!
So completely absolved of personal responsibility.
How very Progressive.
They should be required to learn the basics of safety. They should desire to learn.
It’s easier than learning to ride a horse which many of them have to do.
