A new study finds that simple, over-the-counter aspirin may be able to protect COVID-19 patients from extreme risk, including the need for mechanical ventilation, the Jerusalem Post reported.
New research from George Washington University has determined that treating COVID patients with aspirin reduced the risk of severe illness by nearly half.
The report noted that an aspirin regimen in more than 400 COVID-19 patients in hospitals across the United States cut the need for ventilation by 44%, slashed ICU admission by 43%, and reduced overall in-hospital mortality rates by 47%.
Dr. Jonathan Chow, one of the study's researchers, said, "As we learned about the connection between blood clots and COVID-19, we knew that aspirin — used to prevent stroke and heart attack — could be important for COVID-19 patients. Our research found an association between low-dose aspirin and decreased severity of COVID-19 and death."

Oh no! A bigger aspirin shortage. Prices going up already.
Around Easter, I had Covid. It never ventured past what I’d call a 3-star flu situation. But I kept my fever down a bit for the first seven days by taking low-dose aspirin each day. Other than the cough that came up around day ten....it wasn’t that big of a deal.
“Does that mean that we have to take aspirin for the rest of our life whether we are vaccinated or not?”
I take one 81 mg baby aspirin every night and/ plan on doing so forever. It’s my insurance policy against stroke/heart attack/blood clots all of which I have to be concerned about. I consider aspirin a wonder drug that helps to protect against many ailments, from headaches to heart attacks. It isn’t going to hurt you and may very well help you. Your choice. I know I have made mine.
Say goodby to aspirin until these clowns are deposed.

Aspirin is used for treating horses. Don’t take horse medicine you anti-science flat earther!
LOL!!
For a few months I’ve been on Eliquis for DVT, and have resented it. (Just the idea of getting old and having to depend on prescription drugs when I didn’t for 70+ years pissed me off.)
Now I’m beginning to think it worked out for me with WuFlu. Maybe a blessing in disguise, since I can’t take aspirin or any NSAIDS with it.
Hmm. I’ve been taking 2 aspirin before bed nightly for several years with no issues. Maybe I should drop it to 1 per night or switch to low dose.
Why such a low dose?
Plain little ol’ aspirin??
This bug is looking more and more like regular flu every day.....
Isn’t aspirin a horse worm medicine?
I’m on Xarelto, take an ACE inhibitor, use Crest mouthwash twice daily per my dentist’s advice, have taken take Zinc, D, C and quercetin for years and use xylitol nasal spray for allergies. I’m golden. Screw the vaccine. (also have a little stash of a certain horse wormer just in case)
Therapeutics must be banned.
See
Ivemectin
Hydrochlorquine
N-Acetyl Cistein
Etc.
Haven’t gone after quercetin and zinc ... yet.
