In the address bar, Mozilla is now displaying ads disguised as Firefox contextual suggestions for US users. The company claims it introduced the feature to “fund development and optimization.”
“Beginning in Firefox version 92, you will also receive new, relevant suggestions from our trusted partners based on what you’re searching for. No new data is collected, stored, or shared to make these new recommendations,” Mozilla said.

Looks like you can disable it in options, but active by default. I suggest brave or dissenter browsers

Dumped ‘ff’ months ago for Brave and startpage for search engine. Daily disk clean and malware clean is way faster with a LOT less garbage. Plus I’m earning bitcoins or something. 😂🙌

They have had this for awhile now, you can just turn it off. Mine has it and it is version 86.0.
I cannot even fathom why anyone would install ANY browser and use it default without going through the settings first.

The very good advantage with Firefox is being able to addon “NoScript” and Ghostery”. Even Brave or Dissenter can’t match the security, privacy, and add blocking of NoScript along with Ghostery.
NoScript is THE ultimate blocking tool available.

    I dropped Firefox last year.
Replaced it with BRAVE and really like it.

And I just looked it up you can also run Ghostery in brave as well. So you can run both Ghostery and NoScript in brave.

Wish Brave had a “page view” and a back arrow (rather than new folder), for every tab/folder.
There are steps to enable, but they’re a PITA.
