Hopefully, they have some ‘redundancy’...
Single point of failure. what if there is a power surge and the Monitor fails ? I know they are very reliable, but still
It says there are 2 cameras, but one of them can only be used at low speed for landing, there should be a 3rd one.
What about depth perception ? how does that work with one screen
I would probably not feel comfortable piloting a device traveling 1500 mph while looking at a monitor.
But then again I don’t like throttle by wire, steering by force feedback, and a brake pedal which is not hydraulically connected to the calipers on my cars either
I am probably just a luddite
“What does that have to do with flying?”
What is ‘that’?
Nor did the Spirit of St Louis
It’s a word.
“But then again I don’t like throttle by wire,”
My throttle-by-wire works great keeping 750 hp tame on rain slick roads.
Cameras fail when the battery fails
“Single point of failure.”
I doubt it. My cellphone camera is actually four cameras. I would bet this plane has more than one.
Pulse jet? Does kind of look like the Aurora from a few decades back, doesn’t it?
In case of a computer shut-down, swivel the chair 180 degrees and fly the plane backwards!
single monitor of failure.
Thats what the little square window on the side is for. When the the cameras go out he can roll it down and hang his head out.
A camera like that is very difficult to use with studio strobes or even a bellows.
Braille!
“Way before we get to that point we have ATC [air traffic control] and ADS-B information assuming the other [air traffic] is on it,” he explained..............Yeah, right..that’s if ATC isn’t all out on strike by then because of forced VAX requirements.
“single monitor of failure.”
I see three monitors.
