After reading the article, I know, something that isn’t a thing on here, sounds like she passed of strep throat. Which can be deadly in some cases.
Untreated strep throat can become deadly. When I was in school a kid died of strep throat
But she had a severe cough and tested positive for COVID. And she stopped breathing. Those are all COVID symptoms.
(Testing positive for COVID is a big COVID symptom.)
Strep throat, like the flu, no longer exists. It has been replaced with covid.
There are lots of illnesses that kill 10 year olds... strep throat, meningitis, peanut allergies, diphtheria, tetanus, tuberculosis, and etc... Covid is not one of them. I think your strep throat guess is probably the most likely given the description in this story and the dozens of others if you do a search of the little girl's name. May she rest in peace.
I think Strep A is the worst one & needs to be treated with antibiotics. It can destroy the heart valves.
Common diseases of Strep A are pharyngitis or strep throat, impetigo, rheumatic cellulitis fever, scarlet fever, necrotizing fasciitis and toxic shock syndrome. Pharyngitis and impetigo are noninvasive diseases. Toxic shock syndrome, pneumonia, and bacteremia are invasive diseases. These diseases are transmitted from person to person by respiratory droplets coming out during the coughs, sneezes or due to direct contact.
When I had Delta, the sore throat was horrible.
As an adult, I had a strep infection take me down over the course of an hour while I was taking a college exam. Made it home about 10AM, went straight to bed fully clothed.
I really think I could have died if I had not laid face down on my pillow. My throat was swollen shut so mucous and saliva were flowing. I might have been unconscious for a while because I don’t remember anything until my kids got home from school.
Jim Henson.
People don’t realize how deadly certain diseases are....only because of great medication advances does it seem superfluous.
