What he said. When prices vary wildly nobody wants to order anything.

Filed under Biden because I don’t have a Carter Folder.

Maybe I should just rename it Biden-Carter or maybe just BC. Like Before Christ? Nah. I got it. BC for Biden Cabal for whoever is running things not named Biden. Check.

Note lack of my trademarked smiley. Crap.

“I HAVE purchased already baked whole chickens before - but for $5 I can get three meals (for two) and chicken stock out of ONE chicken”

Agreed, although I “call it” two good meals out of one Sam’s/Wal-Mart $5 rotisserie chicken. (I do confess to sharing with the dog and cat.) At a buck-twenty-five per person, per meal...you can’t hardly beat that. Great eating, too. I’ve read that Costco chickens are larger than the Sam’s/Wal-Mart birds.

Go buy a convenience store—and try to run it for a while—and then come talk to us about wages....lol.

From where I live, to get to the nearest ‘city’ of 4K, I need to cross a four-lane state highway.

I, too, see truck after truck after truck - and they all look intent on getting to where they need to go! So that’s good!

Again, I’m not panicking, just plodding along and planning ahead. Going to pick up a 1/4 beef steer from the butcher, today. Luckily, I’m good at Tetris, so I should be able to ‘fit it’ all into the various freeze space I have to work with. ;)

They are building a Costco about 30 minutes from me - I will be the FIRST one in the door, so I’ll let you know. ;)

I read yesterday that there is a 62 container ship backup off Long Beach. This is all deliberate.

I just got a year supply of beef by buying a 1/4 cow from a local farm. Putting up a green house now to be able to grow enough food if necessary. Have a small stock pile of food stuffs for the short term but will be adding to the supply shortly.

Guys, I think that this “disruption” is both intentional and will be long lasting. Get ready.

He would be one of those small business owners that yells at his suppliers, employees and customers for failing to meet his expectations—and then wonders why the business is going down the tubes....

"...but I know the truth is they’re terribly afraid of getting CoVid. Terribly afraid."

You should tell them to stock up on Ivermectin, D3, Vit. C and Zinc in case they get Covid. ALL four. And tell them to do some research on these items, especially Ivermectin. Should put their minds at ease.

I have told them. One takes all that except the ivermectin, and she is still petrified. Mind you, our oldest brother just succumbed to the disease a month ago. They are so worried about losing another loved one.

Nothing puts their minds at ease. They have been frightened to their core because of the irresponsible media who are Democrat lapdogs, and people like Fauci and the CDC at large. It’s all so political.

I cannot undo the harm. I try, again and again, to reassure them. Until CoVid is no longer in the headlines, they will stay afraid.

I don't have to run a convenience store to understand the the most basic simplistic economic concept of supply and demand.

But the market is not going to support paying $100k to the guy running the equipment because no one is going to pay $500 to have their lawn mowed.

Bogus exaggeration. Of course...

Textbook economics and real world business are whole different ballgames.

That is a lesson most business folks find out the hard way.

The first thing you learn in real business is that nobody gives a ^%$# what your opinions are—everything is a negotiation.

Apparently not. Apparently many business perons arbitrarily set wages and complain when they can’t find anyone. That is really f’d up.

As I say, you really have to “be there” to understand it—it makes no sense to an outsider.
