Andrew Craig Ericson, 24, pleaded guilty to one misdemeanor count of parading, demonstrating, or picketing in a Capitol building. Prosecutors will drop three related misdemeanor charges in exchange for his plea. Ericson said in a signed statement that he is pleading guilty because he is in fact guilty.
He will face six months in federal prison and a $5,000 fine after he was tipped off to the FBI by someone who had known him since high school.
Six months in prison for one beer?
Ericson posted a photo of himself on Snapchat while sitting comfortably with his feet on a table at Pelosi’s conference room and taking a beer out of a mini-refrigerator.

Beer coolers in Congress. That explains a lot.
Damned fascist bastards...the judge, prosecuting atty, and arresting officer should be tarred and feathered zand Sent to China where they belong.
We allow them alcohol in the workplace? I’m not allowed to have alcohol in my workplace. This is unbelievable.
“Beer coolers in Congress. That explains a lot.”
Ain’t everyone allowed to drink beer on the job?

I hope his prison sentence is for time served!
This is one of the most outrageous things the US govt has ever done to the people. On the same list as Waco Texas...

Well played.

I don’t want to sound like I’m defending the way these prosecutions are being handled, but the six months’ sentence is probably for being in Pelosi’s office in the first place, not for taking the beer.
How much time has he already spent in jail.
Beer? In an Gov’t office? That needs to change. The rest of govt can’t do that. Why should congress? If congress arseholes (gender neutral pronoun) want a beer so badly they can’t wait until they leave the Capital complex, perhaps they should go find that lounge located someplace... but not in the taxpayers offices. Classless.
In California anything less than $800 isn’t even a crime
Yup, time to ban alcohol on Federal premises.
In thirty years, I never did drink on the job. It was frowned upon. I woulda got in trouble.

Too bad he didn’t find her pill stash. That would probably mean the electric chair.
There is no justice in this country. We all know that the politicians use their power to TELL law enforcement what to do. Law enforcement is told to go easy on specially privileged victim groups and to violate the civil rights of the administration’s enemies.
How stupid they are, letting information like this get out into the public. It only shows how pampered they are at the taxpayer's expense, and how out of touch they are with normal people. If they have beer, what other alcoholic beverages do they have access to on the property of the people who pay their salaries? These a-holes had no problem restricting the public's access to their favorite hang-outs to share a drink with friends for the past year and a half. Now we know that the privilege they took away from others, was available to them in a building owned by the same people whose rights they denied.
The reprisals for this one day will be great and terrible.
It's a friggin' ...
And I DO Mean FRIGGIN' ....
