When Cardinal George Pell was thrown in jail for over 400 days by a verdict which Australia's High Court overturned 7 to nil, the lack of Christian outrage at the injustice appalled me.
Pell's staunchest public defender was atheist conservative commentator Andrew Bolt.
Now, as lockdowns torture Australians with isolation, loss of employment and failing businesses, I look to Prime Minister Morrison to stand up to the state governments which can only destroy freedom with fear.
Morrison is a very committed revivalist Christian. He is calling on states to ease lockdowns as vaccination coverage increases. Victoria appears to be determined to make its people suffer.
Police are brutal in suppression of protests.
