CBS's Ed O'Keefe Defends Gen. Milley by Citing Upside-Down Bible Fake News
Newsbusters ^ | September 17, 2021 | P.J. Gladnick

CBS News correspondent Ed O'Keefe attempted to defend the actions of General Mark Milley's secret unauthorized contact with his Chinese counterpart by claiming that national security officials cast aspersions on President Trump's mental health. He added Milley was embarrassed about walking across Lafayette Square with Trump to an Episcopal church on June 1, 2020, where the president allegedly held up an upside-down Bible.

The problem? It was fake news. The "upside-down" Bible cited by O'Keefe was actually held right-side-up. A fact that O'Keefe should have known.

So how come Ed O'Keefe isn't being flagged by social media for spreading "misinformation?" Ooops! I forgot. Only conservatives get flagged for that while liberals get a pass. BTW, I don't think social media should censor or flag anybody. If someone spreads FAKE NEWS as O'Keefe did, then the best remedy is public exposure as happened with this story.

Milley was embarrassed about walking across Lafayette Square with Trump to an Episcopal church.

Embarrassed to accompany his commander-in-Chief on a walk to a church.

But didn't resign.

Millie is a low-life, pinko-coddling, pervert lover.

O’Keefe likely never read a bible to know which end is up.

Let's say Milley was right. Let's say that the president was a confused, angry blithering idiot (aside, that description might just apply to someone holding that office), so what is the proper response?

Discuss it with the cabinet and the vice president....? Or..

... call the enemy..?

Why would it matter? Are we supposed to carry our Bibles in a specific manner?

I’d hate to be a Collectivist ideologue forced to defend a dirtbag like Milley.

....

You can see the red ribbon place markers extending out of the bottom of the Bible in the both in the photo in the opening post (L) and also the photo you linked (R).

I heard this same canard from a military friend who has been traditionally Democrat, but voted for Trump in the first election, as the reason why he would not vote for him in 2020—that he had held the Bible upside down. What evil is this total lie. It was spread within minutes and still won't go away.

Why does it matter which way a Bible is held when it is not in use? And when did godless Leftists become experts in how to handle God’s word? It would probably burn them if they touched it.

Because they don’t think for themselves, and saddle on whatever they’re spoon fed by the DNC and the PMS.
