Diabetes disproportionately affects black people. They are sometimes the least able to afford insulin. I volunteer at a free clinic, and often see patients with serious, preventable complications because they could not afford insulin, prior to Trump’s changes.

Not downgrade any illness or treatment but, look at the price at the pump and my grocery bill has gone through the roof, my coffee cream alone has gone $1 in the past 3 weeks. This is insanity!
Trump fought to being insulin prices down. But the ads for the 2020 election said that he was going to RAISE insulin proces, with the usual sob story actor pedding fear porn.

Recently, my wife's employer changed insurance carrier. The new carrier did not cover the insulin that she had been using successfully. The pharmacy presented a bill for $300 for a week of insulin. A call to the carrier allowed identification of what the do cover. The prescription was updated. Fully covered again, but the new insulin is less effective. It has taken months to dial it in again.
The advent of the vax mandates may drive both my wife and myself to exit employment and retire. The increased insulin costs are going to have an impact. I had planned to work another year. My employment is not worth being forced to take the clot shot.
