Before the age of social media people found ways to communicate. The French Underground in WWII comes to mind. In the Soviet Union rumors and news was conveyed person to person. When the boot is heavy enough on your neck you will realize the only way to escape is to band together and resist. Humans are incredibly creative creatures. I have no doubt that people will find a way to create communication networks that work around the tech oligarch platforms and government censorship.

I don't believe there is a "stop" to it by any dissident opposition. Like I said in an earlier post, order and organization is just going to grind down to a halt. Like we see, the Democommies suck at responsible rule, but are great at breaking everything wherever they rule. They simply cannot govern in even a remotely competent manner - there are too many factions pulling in multiple directions over their own interests to permit it. In my "adventures" through various agencies and bureaucracies, the prevailing conditions would dishearten or horrify you, depending on your personality. There is no courage to be found, there will be no great patriotic assistance coming from that quarter. There is only personal interest in keeping the paychecks steady, the benefits and retirement intact, and not getting mixed up in anything to imperil that, if not their personal safety. The self interest and corruption throughout all our vaunted institutions is deep and complete. The only courage to expect will be from the people who arise to pick up the pieces after all is collapsed.

I agree with you: the Constitution now is merely a quaint document that is ignored and thwarted at every turn for the flimsiest of reasons. It has been replaced in large measure by the medical dictatorship we find ourselves fighting in “these uncertain times”. Courts rule in deference to emergency powers to “keep you safe”. Not sure what article or amendment spells that out but there we are.

You are also correct about our NC senators. Tillis is a good old boy weasel and Burr is useless as tits on a turtle. He used to fight...now he is a moderate squish.

Maybe Desantis and other GOP governors affected by this new attack on red states could figure out a way to manufacture these monoclonals themselves.

Surely, among all these states there are enough scientists to figure out how to do it.

And they should make their own PREP act which offers indemnity to any doctor who wants to provide ivermectin or HCQ to patients, and ban pharmacies from refusing to fill the prescriptions.

That would certainly be a catalyst if not the catalyst. As I've acknowledged before, the pain has to come home, get personal. People will then overtly choose a side, their course of action.

Just received a positive Covid test in a western state. Doctor said until this week’s Biden decree on monoclonal antibodies the local hospital would give anyone over 65 the monoclonal antibodies if the patient requested. Now they will only do so if the patient is admitted to the hospital and passes a number of criteria.

All therapeutic treatments work best if administered early. This new edict appears to be ensuring people at risk will not receive the antibodies until they are in a critical state and it may be too late for the antibodies to do any good.

Politics will kill people. Once again the GOP, with the possible exception of Rand Paul, will be silent.
