The Capitol Riots on January 6 will go down in history as one of the most finely dissected events in modern times. Despite the public scrutiny of the events, the FBI refuses to release over 14,000 hours of footage. But in spite of the limitations of the federal government’s lack of transparency, there are new videos being released that are dramatically changing our understanding of the seminal event.
It appears now from a time-stamped series of videos based on a restored Parler video archive that the Capitol protests escalated into riots in conjunction with the reckless and indiscriminate police discharge of pepper spray and stun grenades into the the crowd.
The police charged with protecting the Capitol Building were put into a no-win situation, due largely to incompetent leadership and ostensibly political decision-making. There is no disputing that.

We arrived just after the flash bangs began. We were standing maybe 200 feet away and could figure out why the police were tossing flash bangs and teargas.
For being one of the largest police agencies in the country, they were comically unprepared. No riot gear and they were stupidly tossing teargas into the wind.
Firm belief that a lot of what occurred was orchestrated by the Left, FBI, etc.
Some devious, treasonous BS, imho.
The entire thing was staged including “the gunman”

And many of our fellow Americans believed it happened the way the Dems portrayed it. I don’t know if there will ever be any rewrite of history that is accurate.

Don’t jump to conclusions: I support Trump. I think it was naive for him and handlers to think there would be no incidents. He’s smarter than that.
Except that he was greatly anticipated and upstaged by folks who dislike him to extreme.

The entire scene was a joke. Way too many bizarre things.
Here’s a good one...
Ashli and her buddies taunt the shooter. They continue until the shooter is positioned on the left, and holding his aim steady facing the right. At this point, the actor nearest the shooter taps the second actor on the right side. This second actor then effortlessly knocks out the window from its frame. Ashli is then assisted through the frame into the gunman’s direct line of fire.
Who does that? Are we to expect a trained AF Vet to taunt a gunman then jump directly into his line of fire?
There’s absolutely no objectivity about this scene. Unreal.
BTW, the footage of the scene was publicly released by the BLM activist at the scene.
compare this to the guy who shot at cops, and got off due to ‘self defense’ from the cops.

Yes, it makes me wonder just how much of the history that we "know" is really true.
I agree with you in that it was staged in that it was preplanned. But what good is THAT going to do us, Gene Eric? Public opinion is not on our side.
