A controversial Texas law that bars abortions at six weeks went into effect early Wednesday morning after the Supreme Court and a federal appeals court failed to rule on pending emergency requests brought by abortion providers.
The lack of judicial intervention means that the law -- which is one of the strictest in the nation and bans abortion before many people know they are pregnant -- goes into force absent further court intervention.
"What ultimately happens to this law remains to be seen," said CNN Supreme Court analyst and University of Texas Law School professor Steve Vladeck, "but now through their inaction the justices have let the tightest abortion restriction since Roe v. Wade be enforced for at least some period of time.

I’m no expert, but I do know something about knocking up women.
I have never known a woman who did not know she was pregnant, and certainly within six weeks. I suppose it’s not impossible but if you’re that out of tune with your body there may be something else going on.
Sorry you missed you chance to kill your baby.
No !........this one will take!
I am rejoicing over this!
God bless Texas!
This IS the linchpin for All abortion’s.......the first big domino to fall!
Most women don’t realize they are pregnant until 6 weeks!
And Texas has written their edict well........stiff penalties for even someone who drives a woman to an abortion clinic after 6 weeks!
Pay attention to this one!
The Austin enemedia stations are already in a tither over the new law. After headlining the start of the law, the stations immediately proceed to let pro-abortionist spout their propaganda against the law.
“before many people” know that they are pregnant?
1. Should be: “Before many women”
2. I have had two children. Early on, I could feel twinges in my lower abdomen and I knew.
Wow, I like you!
We’ll see after the opposition has some time to construct
other appeals, etc. You know they will be looking for outs.
I’ve seen ads for at-home pregnancy tests where you can find out after around two weeks.
Never been pregnant, but it seems that you might sense or feel something. Then, again, I don’t know for sure.
War Room is showing a CNN interview with Jeffrey Toobin freaking out about this.
A few years ago, Toobin got one of his best friend’s daughters pregnant and tried to bully her into getting an abortion. (She didn’t.)
Maybe he learned his lesson about where his “seed” falls so pregnancy can’t occur. On the Zoom call, he was caught pleasuring himself.
Not strict enough. 6 weeks is too long.
The President continued: “The Texas law will significantly impair women’s access to the health care they need, particularly for communities of color and individuals with low incomes. And, outrageously, it deputizes private citizens to bring lawsuits against anyone who they believe has helped another person get an abortion, which might even include family members, health care workers, front desk staff at a health care clinic, or strangers with no connection to the individual.”

Aren't the called "whistleblowers" who should be protected or is that just when they attack Trump.
At 6 weeks, a heartbeat can be seen on an ultrasound.
The Good Lord Above has a hugh smile on his face.
