When has this ever happened?
The US military gave Joe Biden until Tuesday to decide on whether to extend the US mission in Afghanistan past August 31.
This comes after the Taliban warned Biden earlier today to complete the US withdrawal by August 31 or “face consequences.”

Assume that the deadline is August 31st. Get our troops out. Too bad for our Afghan allies and Afghan-Americans who may hold American passports. They should had fought harder. Now they’ll pay with their lives.
Maybe this is all deception. Make the Taliban think we’re leaving the country, then right when they think we’re about to pull out, launch a shock and awe campaign to take out the entire organization and then liberate the country.
We KNOW where the Taliban leadership are, they were posting photos to Instagram.
Uh, it takes time to send reinforcements.
The plan is surrender the 82nd and Marines.
I’m sure the military has often told Presidents that they needed something decided upon by a date certain. First I’ve ever heard of it being public, though.
I believe this whole cluster--- was deliberate by the Pentagon. When they realized that the cabal was breaking their campaign promise to stay and really wanted out, they saluted sharply and withdrew all the military, leaving the Afghan army with no support, leaving the civilians in country, and leaving all that equipment, including apparently much US owned equipment.
They got used to four years of lying and foot dragging with Trump and thought they could get away with it with the communists in charge of the White House Assisted Living Facility. This is their revenge.
Taliban is in charge now.

Wonder if that will get the congress and senate both parties off their duff this is as serious as it gets.
