Its very sad, but everyone in power in Afghanistan sucked up to the Western elites, their institutions and the slogans of the DC bubble - and their money. Afghan President Ashraf Ghani was a perfect example of this. Meanwhile, the country behind them boiled.

And when the SHTF, because they have no political base in Afghanistan, they can only flee on the coattails of the US Empire.
This is on a conservative site. Why isn’t it on CNN, NYT, or WP? Because it doesn’t support the day’s narrative.
I think the Taliban will wait until the entire American presence is gone from Afghanistan before they start executing people, especially high profile people like a female mayor of a city.
They had 20 years to do something.

That’s my working theory also. The Taliban are a barbarious, lying, blood thirsty pack of wolves. They have not changed one iota. They are totally lying about everything until they get all the westerners out then you will see the Taliban we all know and love. Those poor Afghan know what’s coming. What’s coming is going to make us all sick at our stomach even if we did want to leave.
Pray for her and her family by name.
And what help should she receive?
Should a company of grunts from the 101st Airborne stay in her village forever, to protect her? NOPE.
Anyone on here that disagrees with me, fine. There’s some early chatter that the Northern Alliance is being formed again. No one will stop you from dropping whatever it is you’re doing, heading to Uzbekistan or Tajikistan, making contact with a recruiter for the Northern Alliance and fighting for them. Show off all your tactical and combat skills.
