Veterinary Ivermectin has some organ degradation side effects for humans that human use Ivermectin does not though a farm store would be a useful option in an emergency.

Prescriptions required for tablets and then there are people who take, and report good success with Ivermectin paste which is intended for horses (1.87% Ivermectin listed on box, not the types that combine with other medications).
