I was shopping at my local Kroger store and over the intercom I heard
"Attention all shoppers. Because of a lack of updated guidance from the CDC we are asking that all Vaccinated people in our Stores wear masks. We want you to make our shopping experience safe for everyone, thank you.
Normally I only hear stuff like a Pavlovian bell sound followed by "All Employees, it's time to Shine"
I just went to a WaWa Gas Station and there was a sign posted on the front doors: “August 4; 2021...New CDC guidelines require that everyone entering must wear a mask, vaccinated or not,”
It would be hilarious if an employee hacked into the system:
“So you thought getting a vaccine would give you freedom? Well, you were wrong. Get those masks back on, suckas!”
I guess I’ll go back to hitting the ice cream aisle first. Just in case I have to leave a basket in the middle of the aisle.

fyi, here in colorado, while shopping today at our local kroger-owned grocery chain i noticed that they seemed to be playing something about “masks” and “vaccination” over their store-wide sound system, but at a nearly subliminal level of sound ...
pretty much no one was paying any attention to whatever was being murmured over the sound system, and almost no one was masked except the poor store employees, and no one was paying attention to who was masked and who wasn’t ...
i figure it was simply some kind of CYA, so no one could sue the chain that they caught covid because of negligence of the store ...
local home depot had a sign about wearing masks, but almost no one was masked, and no employee was paying attention to who was and who wasn’t masked ... btw, so far, no state mandate for masks here in colorado ...

As a side note, my sis works at a Walmart in PA. A caller requested to have his friend paged over the intercom. So she said, “Jack imhoff pls report to the customer service counter.” She thought she was in a theater full of Charlie Chaplin fans. The whole store bursted out in laughter. Then her supervisor showed up...un-happy.
